In partnership with Westside Elementary, the Whitfield Foundation is proud to introduce the Whitfield Healthcare Heroes play area, located in the school’s original gymnasium.

This fun, medical-themed space will give children the opportunity to explore how clinics and hospitals work through imaginative play and interactive learning activities. From check-ins to “patient care,” students will gain a better understanding of healthcare in a way that is engaging, educational, and age appropriate.

Research shows that early, positive exposure to medical environments can help reduce anxiety about doctor visits and hospital care while encouraging healthy habits and confidence in seeking medical attention.

We are excited to inspire the next generation of Healthcare Heroes while creating a fun and welcoming learning experience for our students! In addition to the play area, we will come visit students and hold learning opportunities in the play area with our employees and staff throughout the school year.
